Everton defender Nathan Patterson has continued his recovery from injury issues.
A hamstring problem kept him out of the final game of last season, which the Toffees won against Bournemouth to remain in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old wants to ensure that he is fully fit and available for selection when pre-season starts.
Per the Liverpool Echo, he is spending his time working with the club's fitness specialists.
Patterson, who played 19 Premier League games last term, wants to take the starting spot at right-back.
While Seamus Coleman is still at the club, he is also absent with a lengthy injury, leaving the door open for Patterson.
