David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat came into game two down 0-1 to the Boston Celtics. After a stellar three-point shooting performance the Heat won 111-101 and tied the series 1-1. The Heat shot a blazing 23-for-43 from the three-point line. The Heat’s previous playoff record was 20 threes made against the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 Playoffs. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke about the shooting performance from his team postgame.

“You have to take them, based on how they were playing us the first two games. I did not want to get annihilated in that department like we did the game before.

Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat. Herro scored 24 points on 7-for-13 shooting. He hit 6-for-11 from the three-point line. Herro knocked down 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Herro also grabbed five rebounds, dished out 14 assists, and recorded a steal. Tyler Herro spoke postgame about how Jimmy Butler pumped Tyler Herro up before the game via text message. Butler did not travel with the team due to his MCL injury.

“Before the series [Jimmy Butler] texted me to take the team and lead these guys… Everybody came to play. We lost bad in Game 1 and everyone responded.”
