Trade rumors are running rampant, for it is that time of year. And its not just baseball where the rumors are going crazy.
We'll start with baseball first, since that is the sport currently in season. Its been well known that the Phillies are shopping Jayson Werth. The Phillies are supposedly just interested in dumping his salary. The team that trades for him will more than likely have to cough up prospects to get him, then be prepared to back up the money truck to his house to keep him, since he will be a free agent after this season. Many possibilities exist as to where he could end up, with the Rays the frontrunner as of right now.
Prince Fielder will be moved from Milwaukee sometime within the next 6 months. Whether its before the trading deadline on July 31st as yet to be seen. The White Sox are the frontrunners to get him, and he would fit very nicely into that lineup.
Now for basketball rumors du jour:
Chris Paul wants to leave New Awlins for supposedly greener pastures. He thinks that if the Hornets are not interested in building a championship-caliber team, then he wants out. He's got a point in that they are not making any major moves to better the team. He's not demanding a trade (yet), but you can't blame a player from wanting to go to a better team. Its not like he's wanting to leave an already established playoff team in Ohio.
